It wasn’t an easy decision to decide what should stay and what should go when it came to revamping Latitude 29.2 Surf Shop!
We knew that we had a piece of community history on our hands and we wanted to honor the past memories that families had been making for over 20 years.
One project we knew would be worthwhile? The storefront murals and exterior.
Visitors always trickle into our parking lot to take photos on the beach bench and in front of the murals.
It’s where groups gather to capture memories, and we LOVE adding a layer of warmth to the memories you create in Crystal Beach!
We were excited to partner with Geni Kay of g + k design studio. Her studio specializes in custom artwork- hand painted house signs, murals, and canvases. You might also find her teaching workshops on the peninsula!
In an online post Saturday, she admits:
“This one… Im in LOVE!! I have been wanting to get my paint brushes on these walls for a loooonnnggg time. And thanks to the new awesome owners, this is just the first of MANY canvases GK will be beautifying this year!”
We were elated to have her grace the walls of our Crystal Beach Surf Shop with her brushes. We hope you will stop by and continue a legacy of creating memories outside of our surf shop.
